Casa Drop In is where this all began. The original house on our property, built with one idea in mind: a place that feels like home the moment you walk in, and genuinely hard to leave when it's time to go. Two king bedrooms on the ground floor sit either side of a large, well-equipped kitchen. A living room with two sofas opens directly onto the covered terrace, where meals are served, hammocks swing, and the rocking chairs see a lot of use. On the second floor, the sea-view loft sleeps three with a king and a double bed, and its own bathroom. The saltwater pool is right below — no chemicals, just the Pacific breeze keeping it cool. Daily housekeeping, on-call property management, and a team that's been hosting guests here since 2013.

Off the road, close to everything

Casa Drop In sits 200 meters up a private dead-end road in northern Santa Teresa — quiet, gated, and well away from the noise of the main strip. The beach, surf breaks, local restaurants, and the Super La Hacienda supermarket are all a 5–10 minute walk downhill. You get the best of both: total peace on the property, and the village whenever you want it.

A terrace built for doing nothing

The covered terrace is the heart of Casa Drop In. Meals happen here, and so does the afternoon nap in the hanging bed, the sunset drink from the rocking chair, and the morning that turns into a whole day. The saltwater pool sits just below — chemical-free, cooled by the daily Pacific breeze that rolls through the valley, and large enough to actually swim in. The daily breeze keeps the whole house cool even in summer.

Reliable 100 Mbps fiber-optic internet, AC throughout, and a quiet setting make Casa Drop In a solid base for remote work. Whether you're squeezing in a morning work block before surf or running a full week from the Nicoya Peninsula, the infrastructure is there. Surf lessons, yoga classes, massages, and ATV rentals can all be arranged through our on-site property manager.
